We are TEC Services

TEC Services is a division of The Matworks, a 55-year-old company whose working partners include Fortune 500 retailers like Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Albertsons, Safeway and Kroger, to name just a few. We’ve maintained these relationships, some for more than 30 years, based on our proven reliability, total transparency, and ethical business practices.  And now we’ve partnered with more than 20 YMCA locations, too.

What Does “TEC” Really Stand For?

We’re born from three main ideas that are engrained in our culture. Simply put, the TEC Services name and brand reflect a business approach, core values, and philosophy unique to the industry which yield significant benefits to the YMCA community and the success of your facilities’ management operations.

Transparency Through Technology

Using QuietPoint™, the industry’s most advanced technology, we continuously measure service quality, then take proactive steps to improve performance. Detailed reporting delivers unmatched visibility and insights, enabling you to optimize planning, processes and productivity.

A Dedicated Account Team

Your TEC team is focused 100% on your YMCAs and your YMCAs only. We’re a reliable presence, performing walkthrough inspections at every location on a regular basis and always on call. We believe this singular approach is key to creating and maintaining the trusting, productive relationships with client management at every level that are TEC hallmarks.

Unexpected events don’t follow schedules, they just happen. For the times when you need help now, we created TEC-Direct™. This free, industry-first app gives you the power to request immediate service or support and quickly get back to your day.

A Step Ahead… Always.

Working with Chicago-area YMCAs from the very start of the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve continued to evolve and adapt our cleaning, disinfecting and support services to ensure the safety of all those entering the centers… under constantly changing circumstances.

Challenges came early and often. During the lockdown period for example, well before reopening to members, many of our Chicago-area YMCA customers transformed their centers into shelters, providing housing for vulnerable populations. Others served as temporary hospital wards. Still others offered childcare and recreational programs for children of essential workers. And our services changed quickly and effectively to meet each new situation.

Today, as the nation’s recovery has progressed and YMCA centers have reopened, the thing that remains unchanged is the need to keep members and staff safe. Customized cleaning procedures and protocols, dedicated account supervision, cutting-edge technology, and breakthrough communication tools are all part of our continuing effort to prevent setbacks and keep your centers open.

Standing still is not an option.
